INTENSIVE RETREAT YOGA PROGRAM
The classes are happening outside. In case of weather not permitting it, we are inside the main building of the hotel. Please inquire at the reception before each class if you are not sure where to go.
14.10.Monday
09:00 – 10:30 Morning Vinyasa flow
Vinyasa flow is a yoga style that combines Hatha, Ashtanga and Yin yoga poses with the flow of
breath. The sun salutation is an essential part of the class and it serves as the basic form from which
different variations are created. The class includes hand and leg balances, and inversions. The class
will shift between dynamic and gentle movements that work your entire body. You will be ready for
the day.
18:00 – 19:30 Yin Yoga
Yin yoga is one of the less dynamic forms of yoga. In order to affect the deep connective tissues in
the body, the yoga poses on the floor are held for 4 - 10 minutes at the time. The transitions between
the poses are slow and relaxed. This session focuses on the spine.
In addition to mat, you need a yoga block, a cushion/pillow and blanket for this session. Please wear warmer clothing.

15.10. Tuesday
09:30 – 11:00 Kundalini yoga by Christine June
** Kundalini class happens at the Art studio, in Girne. Not at Riviera Beach Bungalows. Attention - the time 09:30
To awaken your profound and essential kundalini energy can be a powerful experience. The breath
of fire and different physical movements are stimulating and vitalizing, and they prepare you for
meditation. This class invites you to bloom, to radiate love, to feel young and healthy in your body
and soul. With practice and meditation, you will feel a surge of vitality and general improvement in
your physical condition.
18:00 – 19:30 Gentle Somatic yoga (R)
Somatic yoga is about your internal experience as much as it is about releasing tightness in your
body. Pandiculation technique specific to this style resets your brain to release ”forgotten” tense
muscles ( which happens when something becomes chronic ). The movements that are mixing yoga
and pilates techniques are executed slowly and eyes closed. A warmer dress is suggested, and a
blanket and cushion for the exercises and savasana relaxation.This session will focus on the spine.
Please wear warmer clothing.
16.10. Wednesday
09:00 – 10:30 Yogalates
Yogalates mixes pilates and yoga exercises taking the best from both styles. The session focuses
specifically on the core, reviving and strengthening the abdominals and back, however, arms and
legs are equally involved and get their share of the workout. We will use a band and block as props for the exercises. The bands will be provided by the teacher. Please bring if you have a personal band/block available.
18:00 – 19:30 NO PRACTICE / THE TOUR TO KYRENIA CASTLE.
17.10. Thursday

18:00 – 19:30 Yin Yoga & Tibetan Healing Bowl Relaxation
( INSIDE the hotel building )
yin yoga is one of the less dynamic forms of yoga.In order to affect the deep connective tissues in
the body, the yoga poses on the floor are held for 4 - 10 minutes at the time. The transitions between
the poses are slow and relaxed. The yin part of the session lasts about 60 min. The singing bowl
relaxation ( about 30 min ) is done resting on your back in a comfortable position. The yin yoga
poses and the vibration of the Tibetan healing bowls stimulate the circulation of fluids in all bodily
organs. The amazing sound of the bowls has an ability to release great tension in the deeper layers
within the body. Please bring a blanket, block, and cushion, wear warmer clothing.
