The 2015 fund-raising for the Esentepe Fun, Run and Ramble 2015 in aid of Tulips (Help Those With Cancer) is starting very early and kicking off with a Pirate themed boat trip.
The trip, aboard the Pirate ship The African Queen, sets sail from Girne Harbour on Tuesday, 16th September at 3pm and will return around 9pm.
On board will be music, karaoke, quiz, raffle and disco along with a meal of either chicken or fish accompanied by meze, salad and fruit. The cost will be £20 per adult with under 14’s £12.50 and under 5’s will go for free (or TL equivalent on the day).
There will be a prize for the best dressed and the worst dressed will, I am happy to say, have to walk the plank.
Along with the choice of menu there will be discounted drinks; beer and soft drinks 5TL, spirit plus mixer 9TL.

Just to let you know that the boat trip raised 1650 lira for Tulips and was a resounding success.

Our thanks go to everyone involved in the organisation of this great event and to those who generously supported the raffle.

We will definitely make this a permanent feature of the EFRAR fund raising programme each year.

Well done the amount raised but I am curious and would like to ask how you can call this part of the Fun Run events for 2015 which does not normally take place until April if I am not mistaken.

Yes you are right the EFRAR normally takes place in April and the committee will be holding its first meeting on the 25 th of this month to decide on the actual date.Events like the boat trip are also organised by the same committee members so we align these to the Fun Run ,accumulating funds as we go through the year.
