Hi Everyone- says Brenda,

Just a note of this month’s events for your diary – to book just give me a ring ore mail to [email protected]

This month’s 112 Afternoon Tea will be on Wednesday 8th June at 3.00 p.m. at The Black Olive Cafe in Alsancak. Lots of lovely sandwiches and cakes with fresh tea or coffee and the chance of a friendly chat. This month’s speaker will be Willy Lindt who will be speaking about his personal experiences, nearly 50 years on, when he was stationed here with the UN Forces during the Cyprus troubles – a chance to hear first hand what exactly took place! Only 15 TL per person for a really interesting afternoon. Places must be reserved by calling Brenda on 0533 840 7834. And, remember, the equipment you help to buy today could save your life tomorrow.

And this month’s quiz is on the usual last Monday of the month (June 27th) at Mountain View Hotel with all the usual quirky questions from Richard and a tasty supper for 20TL per person. Bottles of wine for the winning team and the famous 112 wooden spoon for the team coming in last. Win it three times and the team is treated to afternoon tea at The Rocks Hotel! Teams of four are ideal but the 112 unique bonus/penalty scheme means that teams of any number can take part so you can bring along those summer visiters for a relaxed fun evening. We have only two rules: it’s for fun and Richard’s answers are the right ones!
