The Poppy Appeal fortnight will soon be upon us and we have a few things in store for you....

The Poppy Appeal is the Royal British Legion’s biggest fundraising campaign held every year in November, the period of Remembrance.
Our main fundraising events during the Poppy Appeal are all about bringing communities together to fundraise and enjoy themselves in the process

Friday 11th October 2019
Alternative Race Night @ Olive Press
Only 5 tickets remaining for this event

Sunday 13 October - Catalkoy 5k walk.
Starting and finishing at The Grease Monkey, everyone is welcome. If you don't fancy walking the route then come and have a drink and maybe something to eat, we will have Poppy pins and other RBL merchandise for you to purchase for a donation.

Sunday 27th October - The Lapta Poppy Walk.

Music with Wonkey Donkey

The first Poppy Appeal was held in 1921.
The poppies sold out almost immediately and raised over £106,000; a considerable amount at the time.
Our Poppy Stall will be in Girne Town Centre on Thursday 24th & 31st October ... between 11am & 3pm.
Come down for your Poppy and have a chat with our Volunteers there to help you, we will be happy to see you.

THE POPPY BALL - 8th November 2019

We are looking into the possibility of supplying a Coach to the venue, if you would be interested in this please let us know when booking/purchasing your tickets.
Remember we are available at Mardo, Catalkoy and The Olive Press on Wednesday mornings for a chat and a coffee

Remembrance Service at The Old British Cemetery, Girne - Sunday 10th November 2019
Followed by Post Remembrance Lunch at the Ship Inn
