Marble floor renovation

We live in Esentepe and have an issue where the salts from the Cyprus damp issue have dulled the marble tiles in an area of our lounge. Does anyone know of either a substance/polish that will bring them back to their former lustre or someone who specialises in this?

Hi there,

You can polish the floor with machinery and it will give you a smooth surface. However this will only be a temporary fix. When the next wet season comes the salt will begin rising again. I know someone who can do the polishing for you. But really you should first address the damp issue and then do the cosmetics.

What you should do is barricade the damp and prevent it from entering the house.
This can be done via removing one row of terrace tiles adjacent to the lounge (if a terrace exists) and applying waterproofing to floor and wall or removed area.
Or via ground floor walls.

There are many many cost effective ways to overcome this problem.
Please feel free to get in touch for more a little more detail or if you would like to arrange a free inspection & second opinion.

Kind Regards
