Shop Pastry which is what ?

After trying to decipher what pastry is what in the shops and endless searching on the internet, can anyone explain what is what, ie the names and what they are used for, any help would be gratefully received, thank you, Christine xx

Most here are Filo Pastry - you won't find any shortcrust and I don't think any Puff Pastry either. They are easy to pick out in the freezer cabinets or fresh in the cooler cabinets/units

Shortcrust and puff pastry from various suppliers can be found frozen in most of the super markets
