BEST margarine for baking cakes
Hi can anyone advise which in their experience is the best margarine to use in making cakes, also, castor sugar is quite expensive do the Cypriots have their own make of this, thank you for any info Christine x

Make your own caster sugar by putting a small amount at a time in a blender or food processor, until you get the desired texture. Keep going and you will end up with icing sugar.

I use Remia margarine works very well in cakes. A lot of people I know just use the granulated sugar they sell here instead of caster sugar. It seems to work just fine in everyday cakes and I only splash out on caster sugar if it's a special occasion

Agree Kath too many additives in marg.
