A potentially dangerous and misleading claim - it will (probably) rid the AIR of bacteria and moisture - but not the food, unless such a powerful vacuum is created that the food is 100% free of juice and moisture - and thus dry and tasteless. This is why even vacuum sealed foods in shops carry either use by or best by dates.
The real way to reduce the "surging food waste" (and save your money) -buy what YOU need, not what the supermarkets wnat you to buy....
