Buying from fishers

I am wondering if there are private fishers that sell cipura or kaya levrek right from the sea?

Not sure what the prices would be, if it is any better than in fish shops, but if so - any links are greatly appreciated!

Thanks and have a great New Year!

There is a small fishing harbour in Lapta which operates a market, selling the fisherman's catch directly to the Public, Restaurants etc.

Go along there and you will be able to judge for yourself.

The fish you buy in the shops is farmed.
Wild fish are a lot more expensive and taste slightly different. Unless you are a connoisseur or very rich, the farmed stuff is fine IMO

The fish farms breed Sea bass and Sea Bream, most of the rest is wild caught.
