A spark to (re-) ignite a wildfire?

Is A Last Resort a first step towards renewed conflict?
Surely an area of "concern" for all the expats and swallows, both north and south - but much more than that for (excuse the term) the natives of this lovely island...
Sadly, the north (as I understand it) have to rely on Turkey for finance etc., but if the rest of the world removed or diminished this reliance by recognising the TRNC (thus increasing "outside trade/business"), would this not also diminish the likelyhood of further conflict?

You could well be right Jofra, if the Cookie Jar was taken away, then the TRNC would be expected to fend for itself. Not easy.

But if the cookie jar was taken away then would the North at last be recognised? Then like the South they could fall upon the EU to bail them out and make a fortune out of being the underdogs in much the same way as the South has done over the years?

I feel it has always been the objective of Turkey to annex Cyprus in anyway that it could and now with the advent of available oil/gas it becomes more important to them to do just that. Difficult times ahead again.
