Good morning all.
We have a wall clock with the crown and GR printed on the face below the XII. Safe to say it was made some time between May 1910 and January 1952.
Our clock works well. However, l feel it is time (pun intended) a horologist or clocksmith serviced our clock.
I visited Mustafa Saatcı in Güzelyurt. No joy there. It was suggested l try Lefkoşa, but no clear direction as to where l might find someone competent in mechanical clock servicing skills.
Has anyone here had first hand experience of having had a mechanical clock serviced please? Good or bad experience - both equally valuable to know.
TIA
Where to get a “proper” clock serviced?

We had a similar old wall clock repaired and cleaned (it had not been going for some years) not long ago through a shop in Girne. Going down from Georges Cafe, first right turn. Go down there nearly to bottom where there is a handbag shop on the left. It is run by an Iranian chap, who is extremely helpful and pleasant with good English. I regret to say I cannot remember his name but think it is Yacob or something like that. He sent our old clock to Lefkosa for the repair etc. The clock has been going perfectly since it came back, and did not cost much either.
