BRS 1/4 Page ad in Cyprus Today shows their support for K5

British Residents Society Notice
Copied from North Cyprus Forum.
RBL have sent a similar notice to all their members.

This is serious, if this case goes agianst the residents of K5 they will probably have their homes sold from under them. This before the main case coming up in October to decide if the original auction was legal. Typical cock eyed legal process, the owners of Akfinans Bank seeming to have total control of the legal system.

Kulaksiz 5 Group Appeal for Public Support at 9am on September 19th 2012

For anyone with sympathy for those facing repossession or eviction proceedings, next Wednesday 19th September at 9am is an important time at the Lefkosa Appeal Court.

The KULAKSIZ 5 Group's Lawyers, Boysan Boyra Law are appealing to three Senior TRNC Judges to overturn a lower Court decision that allows a Bank to sell their homes before their main case is decided.
The main case takes place in Girne on October 10th.
All expatriates and Cypriots who wish to attend are asked to please peacefully stand outside the Court to demonstrate their support for Kulaksiz 5 Group and all property victims caught up in this mess. To keep within TRNC law for expatriates this will be a civilised silent protest without placards.

The Lekosa Court is in Lefkosa Old Town opposite the Main Post Office.

The current committee of the BRS is continuing the stance taken by the previous chairman and committee - that the K5 is an important test case for the house holders/owners of the TRNC - if it goes against them eventually, thousands of expats (not just Brits) will be wondering what has hit them! If you can try and make it to lefkosa, the more the better - judges do take note of who goes to listen/attend cases, and work out how important they are from the attendance, I was informed today! Unfortunately i can not make the 19th, but the next important court appearance will be in Girne in October and I promise to be there (dv)

Have not been in Lefkosa courts but if anything like the size of ones in Girne very few people will be able to get inside, usually only the participants can get in. If you do go into the actual court be appropriatley dressed ie NO shorts, shoulders covered and do not speak or try to make contact in anyway with anyone in the court, you will be asked to leave!!!!
