The benefits of joining North Cyprus Business Network

New contacts and referrals - The most obvious benefit of networking is to meet potential clients and/or generate referrals which you can then follow up on, to hopefully add to your client base. Networking can also help you identify opportunities for partnerships, joint ventures, or new areas of expansion for your business.

Visibility - You need to meet and communicate with potential clients and business partners on a regular basis to maintain your business relationships. Attending business breakfast groups and other networking events raises your personal profile and can help keep you front and center in the minds of the right people.

Staying current - In an ever-changing business climate it is important to keep up with the target market conditions as well as overall trends in your industry. Knowing the market is the key to developing a successful marketing plan. Attending seminars and networking with your peers and business associates on a regular basis will help you stay current.

Problem solving - In addition to the potential of increasing your business you can often find solutions to your own business problems or needs by networking. Regularly associating with such people can be a great morale boost, particularly in the difficult early phases of a new business. The purpose of business networking with North Cyprus Business Network is to increase business revenue - one way or another.

NCBN meetings

We will hold meetings once per month. But members can also network daily via our Kibkom NCBN Forum, Whatsapp and our NCBN Facebook page.

Our first group will be based in Girne, and if successful, to be followed by groups in Lefkosa and Magosa.

Members can bring guests to meetings, who may wish to join. Limited to 2 visits per guest.

All members and guests will have one minute to talk about their business. It is always useful to prepare and practice your short introduction in advance.

One business (in turn) per meeting will have a 15 minute spotlight to talk in detail about their business. Businesses put forward for a spotlight session will be given advance notice inorder to to make preparations. If necessary, we can supply projector and laptop for presentations.

Members

As an NCBN group member, you will have sector exclusivity, meaning that there will be no other competing businesses asking for the same referrals.

Our meetings and events are structured to facilitate and encourage members to build strategic business alliances and pass quality referrals that turn into real business.

Guests

The best way to find out if NCBN suits you is to join one of our meetings as a guest. Joining a NCBN meeting as a guest will allow you to see the meeting framework in action and better understand how it will work for you and your business contacts.

We will never put pressure on you to join. If you like what you see and experience, then ask to join NCBN to avoid your competitors taking the opportunity and locking you out of a group.

Sectors

We work on sector exclusivity. Only one business sector may join NCBN, once that business sector joins, other similar sectors are locked out of the group. Register your interest now.

Face to Face

Meeting people in person seems old fashioned in this digital age, but wherever possible you should network face-to-face. Social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter are excellent ways to communicate with customers and business associates, but they do not substitute for meeting people in person. A lot of local business is still done on a handshake basis, and the best way to network with other local business owners and entrepreneurs is through business networking groups.

Our inaugural NCBN Girne group will best operate by exchanging business information, ideas, and support. We want to help businesses to focus on building good relationships with other businesses in our group. The most important skill for effective business networking is listening; focusing on how you can help the person you are listening to rather than on how he or she can help you is the first step to establishing a mutually beneficial relationship.
