There's a funny side to everything

Today, I went into a small shop in Karaglanoglu and was asked to write in the "book" and disinfect my hands. I picked up the spray, as instructed but couldn't understand why my hands became horribly sticky. I picked up the spray again only to realise that it was PAX, window cleaning spray. At least my hands sparkled for the rest of the morning.

Brilliant.

In a similar vein in my mid 20s I once flew to Miami on my own and was lucky enough to get upgraded to club class which considering I was in a t-shirt and shorts was a shock. Long story.

It was wonderful and I had a very gay steward attending to my every need. Well not quite all, I am straight!
I had given him strict instructions to bring me champagne every 15 minutes until we land and not to let me sleep at any point. I didn't want to miss a minute of this flight.

Anyhow it was all perfect, nice comfy seat, good food, private tv with great selection of films and steward was very attentive no doubt helped by my shameless flirting and being the only person under 60 in club class. The things we do for unlimited champagne!

About half an hour before we landed I decided to go to the bathroom and brush my teeth etc using my gifted club class leatherette bag of goodies.
Just before finishing I opened the mouth wash for a quick gargle and it felt like I had swallowed battery acid.
In my admittedly slightly inebriated state I had opened the body lotion and virtually necked it.
I crashed out of the bathroom staggered into the galley and lifted the steward out of the way to grab anything to drink which ended up being a can of lager.
The steward hopping up and down shrieking "you aren't due Champagne for another 7 minutes" while I tried to rinse the body lotion out of my mouth.

On the positive note the steward seemed less keen on the future promised date in Miami as he must have thought I was a raging alcoholic and a bit rough when impatient. I don't think I could have camped it up for another 8 hours and was worrying how I was going to get out of the impending physical part of our burgeoning relationship.

The way things were developing with the steward I might have been avoiding the baby lotion later that evening!
