Can I pay my property tax online to Lapta Belediyesi? If it is possible does anyone have the web address?

You'll be lucky, when I went to pay mine they could not even find it in the system, I had to find an old bill to give them a clue.

Today, having already paid my electric bill, I gave my old Girne Belediye annual property tax bill/receipt to bank cashier at Creditwest, Alsancak. She checked it no problem, told me the new amount (up 14 TL from last year) and deducted from my account. Paid water bill too, in cash.
In and out, including queuing, in about 10mins.

Any way us poor 'swallows' currently in the UK, can pay our Lapta property tax online from the UK, like we have done to pay our car tax?

jayceebee. I totally agree with your re Credit West in Alsancak yesterday. Walked straight in, no waiting and paid property tax, phones, electricity and water in one sweep. In and out in 10 mins. Then went "next door" to Alpet petrol station and topped up (first time in 8 weeks) Job done

The fine is not a lot!

The fine may be 'not be a lot' (by whose standards?) but I'd rather not incur it and I still don't know the answer as to whether you can pay it online.

We've got to watch those pennies, Joe! If you send me your details by whatsapp 009 0533 8463507 I'll pay it for you and then you can look me up next time you are over. We can only be talking about a couple of hundred lira if you don't have a pool.

I was actually going to write the same thing this morning, a full year of non payment accounts to 50% in Girne district
Due to the fact I only have 2 customers with Esentepe addresses who usually pay the bills themselves I still have not gone yet therefore the offer is open. Catalkoy, Girne, alsancak and Lapta I visit more regularly

wjms, thanks also from me - I will now be able to pay from the UK, as we won't be over this year - last year, during both visits, OH ended up in hospital (second time in ICU with pneumonia and other problems), so taking no risks this time!

This is great thanks. I'm trying to buy water from Lapta Belediye but it won't allow me to enter an amount. Is there any reason for this do you know? Is it only possible to do on week days maybe?

I saw the facility to pay for water, and wondered how my card would know - it won't be credited?

Bomdas maybe that's the problem then haha who knows. Will try again on Monday.
