Ever the optimist,
I wonder if it is possible to pay rental tax online or do we still have to go to the tax office in Girne..?

It is possible to pay online as long as you register at the tax office, I looked into it a while ago in the Girne tax office.
Doesn't help until you've registered though, in person.
