Reminder from the Ministry of Health regarding the procedure to be applied for entry to TRNC

The statement of the Ministry of Health is as follows:

“Those who come to the TRNC from the A group countries will be able to enter by presenting negative PCR tests carried out within 72 hours (last 3 days) of their travel to the TRNC.

Those coming from Group B countries will be able to enter the country if they have negative PCR test results done before 72-120 hours (3rd, 4th and 5th days) and a second PCR test will be done when entering the country.

Those who travel to our country from the UK will be able to enter our country with negative PCR tests made within 72-120 hours (within the 3rd, 4th, 5th day) from the travel dates and will remain under quarantine for 7 days.

Those coming from other C group countries will be able to enter the TRNC with a negative PCR test result done between 3 and 5 days before the boarding date. These people will have a 2nd PCR test when entering the country and will stay in the quarantine centres determined by the Ministry of Health for 14 days.”

Info from Merit:

TO THE ATTENTION OF OUR MERIT HOTEL AND CASINO CUSTOMERS AND PUBLIC:
Some internet news sites are spreading false news that 6 personnel were quarantined at the Merit Royal Hotel with the diagnosis of Covid-19.
3 days ago one of our guests who came from Turkey with a negative test, tested positive after arriving in the TRNC. All rules and protocols determined by the TRNC Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization were implemented by our company and our guest was immediately transferred to the observation of the TRNC Ministry of Health.
One of our personnel, who had been in contact with this guest for a while, has been transferred to the quarantine process of the Ministry of Health as a "precautionary" measure.
5 of our employees, who had been in contact with our customers for a much shorter period of time, are in a voluntary quarantine process within the framework of the measures taken by our company. A Covid-19 test will be applied for on a date determined by the Ministry of Health officials.
Therefore, none of our 4,000 employees working at Merit Hotels and Casinos has been in contact with a Covid-19 case.
Judicial and legal proceedings have been initiated about individuals and institutions that have crested and spread this false news.
It is presented with respect to the information of the public and our esteemed guests.
