Whatever it is you wish to call them, they are the acrobatic marvels of the air that arrive here around April-ish, build nests, have chicks, leave deposits on your patio and then push off back to where them came - every year.
We have three permanent nesting spots that are occupied every year and usually end up with three pairs of nesters producing anywhere from 5 to 10 chicks each nest before they leave.
This year was a good year for them but I still have two young ones hanging around the place, the parents have left long ago and one of the last three chicks went as well.
So has anybody else got any of these birds left darting around the place - starting to worry that this last two have missed the flight home!!
