KKTC address for UK passport; can someone please check
Having gone through the UK passport online renewal process on my wife's behalf can someone please confirm that the following return address is ok?
XXXXX
GIRNE
MERSIN 10
CYPRUS
I was advised to write it this way by someone who has used the service I just would like confirmation that the address is fine.
Thanks
TML.

I think that it should be Turkey - not Cyprus!
Plus the postcode, as sophie mentioned.

KC has it spot on. Use Turkey, NOT Cyprus.

Problem is if I put Turkey on the online application it then asks for photographic proof of address; If I put Cyprus it doesn't require proof of address. Strange but true.
Haven't sent it in yet but it reads
XXXX
Lapta
Girne
99320
Cyprus
If I put
xxxx
Girne
Mersin 10
Turkey
It asks for proof.

Hi TML, I followed the advice on the BRS website, renewing passport section, which is available to all to view.
They advised to use Cyprus and a postcode of Girne 99300 I think?
Anyway, my passport arrived but in fact it did come via Leipzig and Istanbul to Ercan.
It appears that DHL made the adjustments needed.
I wasn't asked for POA as I think I mentioned to you on PM.

Maybe a combination of the two.

How very odd, I've lost count of the number of times over the last 16 years, that we've been told, "don't put Cyprus in your address" as Mersin 10 is not CYPRUS.

Yes Sophie, but this is for Passport purposes, via DHL and not ordinary mail.
Anyway, DHL are tasked with getting the document to the right address. They have a contact number and have done thousands of deliveries in the past so they will be well aware. The local agent in Lefkoşa delivered mine to my home in Çatalköy after contacting me the day before.

I put the address as on my rental agreement.SATRANÇ wrote: ↑Thu 13 Aug 2020 11:04 amYes Sophie, but this is for Passport purposes, via DHL and not ordinary mail.

The passport was delivered via DHL to Degli Insurance who had sent it with a covering letter to have it delivered to them for me to collect from there. So needing to put Mersin etc wasn't needed as I assume the only people who saw my address was the UK passport office and my address wasn't needed for delivery so masking North Cyprus wasn't an issue.
