Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a devote Muslim telling lies or holding the full truth from his people is just not possible!!!
He better jail the 'false news' reporters for life before reality slips out to Allah!

Probably not but it’s a question of scale. If the report is to be believed, the published Turkish figures are only 5% of the actuality.

I would think the problem in the UK is over stating the figures as I noticed on the news the other night that the number of deaths includes all people who have died with a positive test within the last 28 days.. Therefore you could have a positive test, 27 days later have a car accident and die but it's counted as a Covid death.

We have been traveling round Eastern Turkey for the last week.
We have to wear a mask whenever in public but life here seems very much normal hustle and bustle.
I would imagine the covid rate in Turkey is a lot less because.
1. Much younger population
2. Far less obesity
3. Healthier lifestyle, i.e better food, more exercise, less alcohol.

Turkey has just been added to the list of countries which require 14 days self isolation when one returns to the UK.

according to german "Spiegel" paper the CHP MP Murat Emir leaked a document listing 29.000 infection for the 10th of september.
reported to WHO 1500.
at the moment, it seems, the datas are approx 10.000 real to 1500 reported.

estimates for now in total: approx 350.000 infections are not reported to WHO.

The whole of Europe & USA seems to be on the verge of going totally belly-up. Very sad but not all the blame can be attributed to inept politicians (except Trump) but the stupidity of the many few that have ignored all guidelines to follow basic precautions and have intensified the situation.

The stage was set at the start of the pandemic when a new law was immediately brought in turkey making it a criminal offence to challenge the government controlled covid statistics.
