OK well not exactly. But on Sunday, about midday-ish, coming back along the by pass from Lapta to Girne , I was being driven by a young man from Mini Couture , having just done one house visit as Santa on route to Lefkosa for the next when the police were blocking the entire dual carriageway doing speed checks.
Don`t think we were over the limit..............but with my Elf in the back and me dressed up in FULL SANTA OUTFIT beard etc in the front passenger seat I found it most amusing when the policeman looked in the car.
So what could I do..I didn`t understand what was being said in Turkish, so I just wished him Merry Christmas and gave him a Santa wave.
After a few more words in Turkish we were on our way.
I couldn`t help thinking what the headlines may have been if we had been booked or reported in the papers????
Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas
Santa gets pulled by the fuzz..............

Perhaps you should have a quiet word with Rudolph about galloping too fast in restricted areas

Ho Ho Ho.
i`m afraid it was the horse power of the engine rather than the reindeer power of the sleigh.
