Mans greatest achievement in your lifetime?

Watching a film called “The First Man”, about Neil Armstrong the first man on the moon. It set me thinking and for me this is probably mans greatest achievement so far in my lifetime.

These men were working in the cutting edge of technology when everything they did was a first. Getting a man into the moon and returning them all home was something that certainly captured my imagination.

Anyone have thoughts on what they think was mans greatest achievement in their life and why?

That would be my choice also Soner (I was born 1954).

And I am hoping to be still around when the next person walks on the moon, hopefully within 4 or 5 years - inshalla 🙏.

Suitcases on wheels! In the 1970's going on holiday I used to take everything in my wardrobe. Girlie thing (hardly wore any of it once I hit the beach) but carrying it was a nightmare. Now bringing things from the UK that you can't get here no dislocated shoulders - so for me wheels.

For me, it's a toss up. 1. The Internet, which has changed the entire planet. 2. The 3D printer, which saves lives daily and 3. The continued destruction of the only planet we have to live on! Some may not think that No 3 is NOT a "Great" achievement and I ask you all to really think about it and what "Man" will leave behind in your lifetime - not every achievement is good.
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

For mans greatest achievement in my lifetime? I would go for the development of the internet, followed closely by the personal computer. How these two things have revolutionised our lives and how we now take both for granted. In the case of personal computers, how these are now hand held devices pretty much used the world over by child and adult, the uneducated and geniuses, alike.

Moon landing all the way. Can't wait for 2024. I still look up at the moon and get goosebumps thinking about it. Second comes bringing the crew of 13 back.

There is a site called Apollo in real time, it had the landings in real time but 50 years on and then they did the same for 13, bloody awesome

Back to topic

'Mans greatest achievement in your lifetime?'

Should be mankind however;
How to better obliterate each other with no logic, reason, understanding, empathy just because it can, due to an inherent tribal DNA misfunction in us all!

I guess the word naturally has changed its meaning... I would not like to be Ladbrokes if they are really offering evens...

Is it wrong to say I switched it to the man’s voice because I found the woman didn’t give very good directions?
