I have just read in the Cyprus Today (21st November) an article about buying logs from the forestry commission?
Does anyone know how to do this ie telephone number as no details were given in the paper

Years ago you used go and put your name in a book and cross your fingers needless to say we never did receive any logs ! Hopping this year may be different

It's a good job we didn't say that when taking in fefugees in say 64 and 74 though isn't it?

There's quite a few numbers listed for the Forestry Dept (Orman Dairesi) in the TRNC online telephone directory, you could try ringing one and see if you can get the info... they are all landline numbers, so you would need to dial 0392 first.

Our TC neighbours had logs supplied by the FC this year and last. 800 TL a load last year, more than doubled in price this year. Decent load but they were shocked at the price. Karşıyaka area.

Electrics cheaper to use now for heating - wood is ridiculous now! granted leccy dont burn well on the log burner like

I phoned the Girne number and was told that since the "list" is so long they were not taking new names.
Tried another two numbers but no answer.

If you still need logs then call 0533 8470144 speak to Ali and he can arrange a delivery of good quality mixed logs cut to size. The same price as last year 1000TL a load
