For a microSD card Acdinc in Karakum, price depends on capacity but they are usually fairly cheap. Make sure you buy one that it not too high a capacity for the dash cam, dash cams sometimes have a 32gb limit etc. and microSD cards come in various capacities.

Please learn how to “view” any footage on a bigger screen than the dash cam.
You can buy a fairly cheap 3 in 1 card reader that means you can take the micro SD card out of the dash cam and view it on your phone/iPad/pc.
Once you are viewing the footage on another device you can save/copy/email to the police, etc.
I have proven an accident was the other drivers fault because I was able to let the police see the footage. Initially the police claimed it was my fault!

You can also use an old mobile phone if you don't have a camera. I have downloaded the software onto mine (Google Play Store) and it produces a good enough quality to be of use. Just need to mount the phone so it is stable and has a good view. You don't have to have a SIM card in it and mine has sufficient internal memory as long as you delete recordings if you don't need them.

Techno Gold has Xiaomi dash cams and another brand made in Turkey. Both around 800TL. The Xiaomi one can take up to a 64 micro SD card. Very easy to set up and mount.

I have to agree with that Groucho other than it should be two not one. How many times here are cars rear ended? I always leave a gap in front of me in slow moving or stationary traffic to give me somewhere to go for when the driver behind has failed to see you in time to stop but I just know that a camera at the back as well is a must. All I have to do now is get one!

Re: Dash cam sd card
The video from the front will serve to prove that you did not reverse into the other party and that you were pushed from behind as well as capturing the other car on camera in the event they reverse and drive off forwards in an attempt to do a runner... they would not be quick-witted enough to hang-a-U-turn without coming into shot.... be sure to leave the power to the camera on (even if you turn off the engine there should be power to the 12v supply with the key not fully off).Chriswright03 wrote: ↑Thu 26 Nov 2020 6:32 amI have to agree with that Groucho other than it should be two not one. As for buying one, see Jane's post... no 10.

Re: Dash cam sd card
Once again I agree about the video from the front but also the one from the rear will show the rate of knots of the approaching car and quite possibly see them with in their phone in their hand.
Yes I saw Jane's post. The front is taken care of with my old mobile but I will get one for the back as well. Driving here is appalling at the best of times as many of us have noticed. Always good to have the proof to show the Authorities though.

I recently captured the most amazing image.
A new black Range Rover being driven courteously, whilst the driver was not on his phone.

Thinking about it later, the driver must have been using hands free. (The phone, not the car).
