Heard from friends last night that lockdown in Girne and Lefkosa will be removed from 5th April. I have tried to find further info online and found this: https://www.kibrisgazetesi.com/kibris/i ... 09781.html

Think it's a bit early myself to lift restrictions. However, am looking forward to pick up a couple of things in Girne area which haven't been urgent, so wasn't asking for permission, but will make a brief trip and pay for car insurance which is due soon, if nothing else. Like Soner, not been in Girne area since before Christmas....will be a nice wee change to see what's happening outside my own wee bubble.

57 positive cases today and restrictions are being reduced just before the tourist season. Was Pilli sacked because he wanted to get it under control early?

Does anyone know how many have been vaccinated here?

It was actually 59. Many of which were in Famagusta where you can now travel to if you want.

It seems to me that finance is more important than health. We still have control over our own safety though so we can decide how many risks we want to take. We will still choose very carefully where we go to be it to visit or eat. Reducing of restrictions to try and get the Country back onto some sort of financial recovery is all well and good as long as the Hospitals are not being overwhelmed with new cases. Making more places accessible does not make more ICU beds available,

Lefkoşa road seemed much busier today, I preferred it when it was quieter , less maniacs to deal with.
