Astra-Zeneca Jab No Good For Travel

The Great British Boris Empire has decreed that for travel purposes only the Astra-Zeneca vaccine is only valid for those that received the jab within its Imperial NHS homeland and integral waters. Those that have had the very same two A-Z jabs in alien, foreign territories which have not signed up to the, 'Free Boris Trade Deal Personnel Bank Account' will not be recognised for entering the Great United Kingdom, even though manufactured in the UK and exported to other States. Boris' trade account has not received any monies for his initial great generosity to 'save the world' so has decreed that all A-Z vaccines given overseas were fraudulent copies of no use to man or beast!

BBC News
Only 2 jabs of A-Z given by the NHS are recognised on re-entry or entry to the UK.
The rest is satirical!

Is this the actual real story?

https://inews.co.uk/news/astrazeneca-va ... ht-1102859

It reads to me as if the Maltese authorities didn’t recognise the vaccine?

UPDATE: The #Maltese authorities have amended their travel advice so anyone who has an OXFORD AstraZeneca vaccine in the UK (regardless of manufacture location) is able to travel without being turned away - with all vaccines having gone through rigorous safety and quality checks.

The above is correct.

Amazing how things get misunderstood, misinterpreted or confused.

The issue surfaced a few days ago when a traveller was refused entry to Malta because one of their Astra Zeneca vaccines was manufactured in India.

It was a Maltese decision to refuse entry on those grounds. Absolutely nothing to do with the U.K. government, U.K. prime minister or the NHS.

The problem was highlighted to the relevant U.K. government department who then contacted the Maltese government. Malta has now amended the travel advice.

Sorry but this is incorrect.

Vaccines recognised by the WHO are accepted by the U.K.

The issue is around the documentation/security and proof that people have received two doses of a verified vaccine. Unfortunately there are many cases of false paperwork being generated.

In the U.K. all vaccinations are securely registered. That could be either the Astra Zeneca or the Pfeizer vaccine. The information can be found and downloaded from your own personal NHS secure app. The app gives you your NHS details/records and also allows print off of the documents showing you have received two doses of a verified vaccine. The information provided shows a QR code and all details required for travel. If you cannot access the app, you can contact your GP surgery or the NHS who after carrying out the necessary security checks will email or post proof of vaccination certificates to you.

Many countries have implemented similar strict controls in order to prevent counterfeit documentation being generated which allows anyone to travel who may not have been fully vaccinated. It has nothing to do with the reasons you have suggested.

The U.K. government is urgently working with countries and looking at ways to allow travel with verified documentation.

I think that most of us in NC will be unable to travel as research shows that the Sinovac efficacy reduces by 50% every 40 days

Well whatever your opinion of Johnson it is fake news is because the story is based on the Maltese authorities refusing entry to Britains because of the vaccine.
Now correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Malta gain independence from the UK in 1964?
