Liothyronine
Can anyone tell me if Liothyronine is available over the pharmacy counter in North Cyprus? It's for an underactive thyroid.

Re: Liothyronine
I think it is sold under the name "EUTHYROX"
You can buy any medication over the counter except for green and red prescriptions

Re: Liothyronine
Thank you but Euthyrox is the same as Levothyroxine which is a T4 substitute, I am after a T3 substitute, which Liothyronine is. It's hard to get it prescribed in the UK which is why I wondered if it's available in North Cyprus.stereotomy wrote: ↑Mon 16 Aug 2021 4:30 pmI think it is sold under the name "EUTHYROX"

Re: Liothyronine
It looks as if the Turkish version is Tiromel, I take the Turkish version of levothyroxine which is readily available and reasonably cheap so I imagine same is true for Tiromel. If you Google Tiromel you should get an idea if it's suitable.
