Now people have to download their inoculation records into Adapass before travel and show their docs to enter TRNC.
Yeniduzen.
From 6th no QR, no entry.

People with proof of vaccination will no doubt still be allowed. As you will see people with NHS proof are exempt from the use of an ADA pass in premises here now.

Don't panic.
"NHS QR Code Document" for UK citizens. The added documents will be checked upon entry to the country, so people must bring them with them. Kaynak: Adapass sistemine kayıt olmayan ülkeye giremeyecek

My take on this…please do not shoot the messenger.

The current Adapass website link is for TRNC residents vaccinated in the TRNC. Once their details are completed this form is linked to the TRNC vaccination database and then allows residents to print off the Adapass showing they are vaccinated. This pass allows entry to certain businesses as required. Obviously overseas arrivals cannot complete the form as their vaccination records are not held on the TRNC database. The website link will not work for overseas arrivals. It will say “records not found”

The announcement yesterday which comes into effect on 6 Sept affects overseas arrivals into the TRNC. Before travel the Adapass “passenger location form” must be completed. From the announcement it appears that overseas arrivals will need to complete the Adapass form, this will include inputting some details and also uploading your countries proof of vaccination. For the UK this is your NHS vaccination record. It is likely you will need to scan the QR code on the vaccination record. On completion of the form a QR code will be generated and you can then print out the Adapass ( for overseas arrivals).

It does make sense for overseas arrivals to have the Adapass as many who are due to travel to the TRNC have been questioning how they will be able to go into supermarkets, restaurants, businesses etc.

As often happens the announcement has been made before the technology is ready. It appears a weblink for those overseas arrivals to complete the form, upload vaccination records and get their Adapass is not yet in place. Hopefully this will be fixed soon!

Like I said this is my take on the announcement. It would be best to remain patient and I am sure all will become clear. I would suggest that overseas arrivals ensure they have printed copies of their vaccination records available at all times. We are returning to the TRNC soon, so will be looking out for any weblink etc so we can complete the form. I am sure there are many in the same position and as soon as someone has successfully completed the form, details will be posted. 😊

On reading it it seems that the ADA pass is the same as the Cyprus travel pass where you upload your NHS vac and your 72 hour pcr test
currently UK now orange from red weekly changed

Cheers for the above.

At the moment there isn’t a weblink to allow this to be done. As soon as one is available I am sure members will post on this topic.

I promise and this isn't meant to be mean, but I cannot tell you how grateful I am that I don't want/need to go South for any reason whatsoever. Don't need to fly anywhere, don't work in a shop, hairdresser, bar, cafe, casino or anything. I just pootle along in my own way, have my ADA Pass and get on with life. There must be loads of people just like me and grateful for it. Only hurdle now is getting residency and will probably wish we lived in rental accommodation.

If you are unvaccinated and have had covid, you get a 180 day pass on your phone via an NHS app with a QR code. Does anyone know if that is acceptable for entry into the TRNC, as it would mean you have the same protection, I assume. I am inquiring for a friend.

Any bets that when a link is posted for those travelling to the TRNC to get the Adapass, the site will crash. 😊

Looking on all the North Cyprus forums and social
media sites there are a lot of people commenting and looking to travel to the TRNC in September.

Let’s hope this new Adapass link works soon.

The NHS Covid pass is valid for 30 days, it refreshes every time you log in for a further 30 days.

Still open to interpretation. So, can you use your NHS Covid Pass? Or, do you still need to complete AdaPass form?
Below is from TRNC Gov Website:

People who will enter our country via air-sea routes and from outside the island using the land border crossings from 06.09.2021 onwards, taking into account the country entry criteria (pre-departure negative PCR test result from the last 72 hours), will fill in the passenger form at the address adapass.gov.ct.tr and will enter the island with the QR code to be obtained. People who do not add their information to this site or who do not receive a QR code will not enter our country.

Those entering the site:

-TRNC citizens’ “ADAPASS”

-Turkish citizens’ “HEALTHPASS”

-EU citizens’ “GREENPASS”

-UK citizens’ “NHS QR Code Document”

As the added documents will be checked upon entry to the country, people should carry them with them.

- Citizens of other countries are required to attach their valid PCR test results and/or vaccination cards to the specified section of the application.

- This practice will be mandatory for those aged 18 and over.

A QR code is "unique" in what information is contained in it. Each one contains information (from minimal to large) that can be scanned and then "translated" into text or similar.
There are (free) programs available that allow you to create QR codes (and barcodes) such as TEC-IT QR-Code Studio 1.0 (I have this and have found it very useful for creating descriptions and identification labels for items that I own), and also (free) apps for smart phones to scan and read QR codes and bar codes.

AdaPass Update from Ministry of Health

Tourists

The Adapass for Tourists will not be live until after 6th September so people will not be restricted from entry into the country provided they bring their proof of vaccination and show this to the border guards.

The online form which needs must be completed prior to arrival has not yet been added to the system, so the existing Passenger Declaration form which visitors to the country sign on entry will continue in force until the system change is implemented. The implementation date is planned for 6th September.

Once the online form is implemented the process for unvaccinated people entering the country will be published and how they can obtain an Adapass for their stay once they are out of quarantine.

For Tourists visiting the island the ability to recognise their PCR tests within the Adapass system will be added as a development after 6th September.

Anyone coming to the island who needs to quarantine at home with an electronic wristband is reminded that before downloading the Guvende Kal (Stay Safe) application they need to first visit https:kktckarantina.com to pay for their electronic wristband. Once they have paid for the wristband a code will be issued which is required to be entered into the system in order to activate the Guvende Kal application.

The Guvende Kal and kktckarantina apps will be integrated into the Adapass system so there will be a seamless process for visitors wishing to enter the TRNC.

People Living in the TRNC

The Covid status of people who have had Covid-19 in the last 180 days is currently not recognised within the Adapass system - work is currently being undertaken to resolve this issue and it should be work after 6th September. If you have had a positive PCR test, the date of the test will be displayed within the system and this will be used to determine your Covid status.

A system change which allows PCR/antigen tests to be recognised within the Adapass system is being implemented and is planned to be live by 6th September. Once this change is implemented the results from your PCR/antigen test will be visible within the system 30 minutes after your test results are issued.

Just read the update re the Adapass passenger location form.

Having tried the weblink a few times without success over the last day or so, it was as clear that the system was not yet set up for overseas arrivals to enter details, upload their countries proof of vaccination and get the pass. The technology hasn’t caught up yet!

There are enough hoops to jump thro to travel to the TRNC so thankfully this one can be put to one side for now.

Hopefully in a couple of weeks the technology will be in place and it will all work as it should. Hmmm….

https://adapass.gov.ct.tr/

The link above is for TRNC residents only who have been vaccinated in the TRNC. It allows residents to obtain the Adapass which proves you have been vaccinated. This pass is then used for entry into certain businesses etc,

The recent announcement that arrivals from overseas (From 6 Sept) will need to complete the Adapass passenger location form and upload their own countries proof of vaccination record has been put on hold. The technology is not ready and the link above does not work as vaccination data for overseas arrivals is not held on its database. Arrivals from overseas into the TRNC need to comply with the TRNC rules for entry. For those from the U.K. who have been vaccinated it is a PCR test < 72 hrs before flight and your proof of vaccination which can be obtained via the NHS app, website or doctors surgery.

Overseas arrivals proof of vaccination will be accepted. Once the technology is in place then overseas arrivals can then register, upload vaccination records and obtain their own Adapass.

Rules for entry to the U.K. from the TRNC are available on the U.K. government website an d will depend upon wether you travel via Larnaca or Turkey. Turkey is currently a red country for U.K. entry so it’s quarantine on arrival at your own expense.

Is this what you are looking for?: https://register.health.gov.tr
In "Living Location" Type in: "Turkish" and the Turkish Republic of Cyprus will pop up.
Did you check entrance requirements for non-vaccinated persons?
Also, if not vaccinated on return to TRNC you may need to quarantine for 5 Days. Also, if returning from 6th Sept or Beyond, you will need to complete the new Adapass passenger location form (Unless you already have an AdaPass...I guess)
Hope this helps.

Latest announcement on other social media platforms advise that Adapass for tourists (Arrivals to TRNC) is due to go live at midnight tonight.

Expectation is that the system will initially be overloaded! Please be patient. However; if you cannot access the system or have difficulties you can still travel with all correct documentation. This will be the case until 13 Sept.

In addition, passengers coming to the island can fill in the passenger form via the updated Ada Pass system by entering adapass.gov.ct.tr and get QR codes. Those who have trouble registering to the Ada Pass system will be able to fly without registering to the Ada Pass system until Monday, September 13. It is announced to the public.

I looked at the new system and it seems to be geared to those newly arriving to the TRNC (understandably so).

I couldn’t see a provision for those who have arrived back earlier (and who would have completed the paper passenger arrival form, were fully vaccinated and entered with, e.g., an EU Covid certificate, and, if required, underwent home-quarantine) to register for an AdaPass.

I didn’t want to complete the registration in case it put me back into quarantine, even though I gave my date of entry as 25th August.

Was I just being a wuss and should have seen it through to the end?

We went to the BRS dance at The Merit yesterday and was asked to show the passes on entry. A cursory glance and not a chance of reading it in the time taken before we were told it was ok. In any event they could have been someone else's that we had borrowed as there is no proof of identity so without a photo of the holder they are pointless.

Soner, I have been to a Government Building, a supermarket and a chemist this morning - none of them asked to see my AdaPass but it is still early days for this system. My question is, can I name the places I have been to that DO ask for AdaPass and also those that DO NOT, or am I breaching some laws by doing so.

Just wondering, as it may prove helpful to readers to know what is actually being required by places these days.
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

Exactly. Unless you are asked for some form of I.D. when presenting the pass, then all it is is a piece of paper showing “someone” has been vaccinated.

Still unconvinced that this is a long term solution. Having to present a vaccination pass to do normal daily activities is likely to last.

For travel it is probably an acceptable part of the process.

I went to a well known coffee bar+ this morning in Alsancak and asked if they wanted to see my ADA Pass. "NO, not necessary." Restaurant in Lapta yesterday, same sort of reaction. Will keep it with me at all times, just in case!!!

Travelling from UK via Larnaca this week. What a stressful experience worrying about having the right paperwork!
Haven't been in NC for almost 2 years, over 65 and don't have residency. Have NHS vaccination certificates.
Do we also need to have the ADA pass to cross into NC?
Anyone successfully completed the process coming from the UK?

You need a PCR test and NHS vaccine certificate up to 13th ,after that Ada pass is required.
