Residency delay
We have been waiting over 2 months for our final payment for residency to come through(on 60%). Can you leave the country while this is still uncompleted and return within a certain timescale, or is there a hefty fine for doing so and will have to start again on return?

Make appointment at Nicosia and recommend you dig your heels in when you get to speak to someone otherwise you will be fobbed off.

Re: Residency delay
Don't need an appointment, I went last Tuesday, spoke to a lovely lady in residency office, she took my name went off and a minute late said, three hours will be ok and it was. Had waited over three months.

Re: Residency delay
Thankyou. Can I ask if you gave a specific reason for needing your residency? We need to go to UK to sort some issues with property out which have been dragging on,
Re: Residency delay
Nicosia will ask you the reason you need to go to UK fast
If you have a good reason they will help you.
Put yourself in the immigration officers shoes and use your imagination as to what constitutes a good reason! They do not ask for evidence.

Re: Residency delay
So can you go South as well then - provided you have not exceeded your 90 days there and your 60 days, extended since you did your police check here! This would all work much faster if it was computerized I think.
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.
