Date the South officially started 90 day count down
We went over on 6th July for the first time, so assumed we had been logged onto the 90 days, but have been told this was not implemented until 10th July. The reason for asking is my daughter and family live in the South and obviously would like to see them as often as possible.

We went across on the 23rd June, so I was expecting Sept the 23rd to be the last time we could cross.
If they only started monitoring from the 10th of July, then I guess the time is extended to October?

If you’ve gone over 90 days because you live in the North I understand you could be fined if you cross over to the South again. If you wait until 180 days have gone by and then cross does the 90 days start again ?

As far as I am aware, it would not as you have not left Cyprus from a recognised port or airport.
Only way would be fly to Istanbul from larnaca or paphos via Greece n get back!

You have 90 days in 180. If you had crossed over to RoC form TRNC for first time, then returned, the clock continues to tick, as you have not left the island. As you entered the RoC via TRNC border, they can not fine you, basically, you do not have to leave via the RoC on the 90th day, but you will not be able to enter again for a further 90 days. After the full 180 days you can get another 90 days in 180 visa to enter RoC.

Thank you Soner but my main question was do you know if this was implemented on first day borders were opened or on or around 12th July which was what I had heard. They said the computers were not married up to the 90 day visa.
