Hi all,

Looking to find out what I need to do and where I need to go to to register our Will in Kyrenia and how much in stamps are required. I also know they only do this on certain days but not sure what these days are.

Thanks for your help in advance

The person who drew up my will told me it doesnt have to be lodged at the court its not a legal requirement. She is a lawyer.

Its just a place to store it in a sealed envelope. Doesnt affect its legality. You need a lawyer to get it out if you need to so more money.

Our Wills were drawn up by an advocate and lodged with the court in our presence.

If we now wish to amend / update our Wills do we have to engage the same advocate to withdraw the Wills from the court?

Can we not just draw up fresh Wills and lodge these with the court?

I would have thought the later dated Wills would automatically be taken as the "last Will and Testament" - but who knows here...

I was advised lodge it at the court as you never know the future but one thing for certain the court will still be there. I used a noter
