Got to the end of residency this morning.

Paid 1000 tl for residency and 21tl stamp duty.

Payment went through, but when I printed off the certificate it was only for one year.

Anyone else had this ?

I paid 2 years state insurance for friends on 21st December. They were on 50% from the date of their police appointment at beginning of October so we thought they'd have to go to Lefkoşa to sort it out. As soon as the insurance was paid it asked for the residency fee of ₺1021.50 each.

26th September till today.

That's 95 days, less the days they don't work so actual working days about 14 I would think.

They got 2 years.

I think you will need to go to Lefkoşa to sort yours out, unfortunately.

This just goes to show how bloody poor their IT is.

7-year-old kids on a Playstation could do better.

I had 22 years as a Shift leader at TSB Computer Centre, so I know definitely.

I may have had them in the canteen.

I paid for 2 years and got 1 and a half, but did sort of expect this as that will be when my UK passport runs out.

Yes same happened to my wife and myself this morning. We were asked previously to pay health insurance for two years which we did and this morning asked to pay for residency 1021.50 each. When I printed off the certificate of residency it runs from 30th October 2021 (expiry date) to 17th December 2022. What’s. all that about.

As an aside been to pay Gas permit this morning. No revised figures available. Asked to return 10th January

If you left before it was finished then it will like as not have been suspended. You were only allowed to leave for 30 days without a fine and I believe it was doubled up to 60 before you are fined now. I know a few people who are still waiting for their residency to be finalised as are we and that creates difficulties if you want to leave the island for any reason. It seems mad that you can be fined because the authorities cannot process all of the applications in a timely fashion.

If you get a TRNC based friend to log in for you.

I had a friend pay for mine last year when I was in the UK.

I'm on 60% at the moment for the current application and am in UK but someone is keeping an eye on it for me.

Update: After 20 attempts finally got in, I put my name and surname in capitol letter and my middle name, seemed to work with that.

As you have discovered, you must complete all the details as per your passport, missing out middle name/s causes an error.
