Re: Crossing into the South
We walked across today at Ledras, had everything with us (Antigen not PCR) plus loads of other paperwork. The child in uniform just looked at the passport and threw it back into the space for me to pick up. Never said a word to either of us and could have cared less but he would really have had to try hard! Disgusted with the behaviour of the people in that crossing point, have always been slipshod but now appear to be making an effort to display total apathy.
Don't know about going to UK from here or via the South but hope it is a bit different for you. Take care.

Re: Crossing into the South
Be aware that no Antigen tests are available at the GAU until next Monday. Easiest way is to book for a paid test at a listed pharmacy! 40TL.

Pharmacists in Alsancak, seem to be "walk in, walk out", never had to make an appointment. They are just glad of the 40tl each time. though.

Re: Crossing into the South
jayceebee, quite correct - however, if you book for GAU before next Monday when you get there they will tell you they are closed for antigen tests till next Monday. We booked, we are quad vaccinated but they were still closed!! You should be able to walk into any chemist (that does antigen tests) and so long as you know your own name you will not have to book first, you will however have to pay the extortionate fee of 40TL (£2.14) to take the test - lol. Going to the chemist costs you money but saves you time and supports the local economy as well.

Hence the fact we always use local pharmacists waddo. Needless to say, we always end up buying something else before leaving.

If you find GAU convenient then British Medical Centre just a couple of minutes or so down the road in Karaoglanoglu should also be OK.waddo wrote: ↑Thu 06 Jan 2022 2:01 pmjayceebee, quite correct - however, if you book for GAU before next Monday when you get there they will tell you they are closed for antigen tests till next Monday.
