Electric bills

Prices gone through the roof. Trying to compare this bill from the previous, just about impossible. This bill goes into May. The tariff has changed from 20 to 02. Itemised usage is a mass of zeros. All I can see is the kws used as gone from 569 on the previous bill to 701 on this one. A small increase of electric but the cost has gone from tl 589 to tl 1497. I fully accept in this world of madness created by PUTIN, the knock effect will hit everyone but what angers me is the organisations who from what I read don't pay KIBTEK what they owe! Rant over, solar power looking better, but from what I understand this is controlled by Kibtek. Time for a beer!!!

Well if made with wheat, yes. ((W\))

Hopefully next months bill won't be quite so bad, as it's warming up nicely, and not needing to use AC. :x))

Ours has gone from 1,599 to 2,670 and believe me we have been very very cold at times. Four layers of clothing, wrapped up in fleecy blankets, gloves and hot water bottles. Only use washing machine when its really full, same with dish washer. Have never been so cold and no option to use any other form of heating. Thankfully we rarely if ever use A/C in the summer, so will hopefully save a bit then.

OK, providing you are on standard electric - not builders electric - then the charges are 0.9873 per unit up to a maximum of 250 units. First thing to do is to check your last months normal bill for February, before the prices went up on the 1st of March, to see what the END reading was - mine was 28577 - that should be your START (Previously Reading Energy) reading for your bill from the 1st to the 31st of March!!

Next check you END (Current Reading Energy) - mine was 29005 - reading for your bill from the 1st to the 31st of March!!
Then check the amount of (Used Energy) displayed on your bill - mine was 428 - simple deduction of 28577 from 29005 should give you the same figure!

428 is the total energy you now owe money for BUT remember that the first 250 units are at 0.9873 per unit! for some strange reason I was charged 0.9873 for the first 258 units - I am not complaining lol - so 258 multiplied by 0.9873 will give you the first figure = 254,7234 TL.

Now deduct (for me) 258 units from the total of 428 units use leaving you 170 units to pay for at a price of 2.7 per unit = 459 TL.

Adding the two figures (254,7234 & 459) together SHOULD give you the same figure as is in the (Net Consumption TL) box on your bill?

Don't forget that you also have to add on the cost of your Fixed Price, Street Lighting and of course VAT on everything before you and up with your total amount payable.

Good luck!
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.
