Could someone please give an idiot's guide (me being the idiot) to the Alsancak Muhtar's office. I have been told that it is on the main road, near the tyre place and opposite the Pizza Hut which I can't find. Bit difficult driving and trying to spot land marks. I am assuming that it can't be far from Ileli. Many thanks. Ossie

It's here - in the Auto Electrical business, next to Ya Beleş, the Fruit and Veg place.

If he's not in, his number is displayed, just give him a call & he'll turn up on his little motorbike

As I thought, the Auto-electrical guy is no longer a Muhtar.

If you need a 'Residency letter', the Muhtar at the 'Pay desk' downstairs at Alsancak Belediyesi will oblige.
