Cycling from North to South Cyprus
At long last we have moved!!!
Now living Surici Famagusta - and we want to explore our new area. We want to explore with our bikes - we do not drive - has anybody cycled across the Green Line???
We are not planning to cross it in Nicosia, we thought we start with the SBA crossings and Dherynia. David want to find the Fish and Chips shop!!
Any advice???

You won't need a TOM - lol.
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

Re: Cycling from North to South Cyprus
Congratulations on your move Dippersgirl, been a long time coming. Wish you all the very best in your new home.
A TOM is a form you need for a vehicle to drive in the south. You won't need it for your bikes. Expect it will just be the same as going over on foot, so you shouldn't have any problems.
Am sure those who go to the fish and chip place, will give you directions.

The SPA crossing at Aya Nik (Famagusta) is very quiet and easy to cross. The Fish and chip shop, which is a branch of Lambros (Dhekelia) is located on the left just near the round-a-bout as you pass through the garrison.

Is David going to take his sketchpad along?
I'd love to see his impression of you wobbling down the road...

Hi did you cycle across the border without any problems? We're planning on cycling south to north at the Ay Nik / Famagusta crossing. Anyone know if there are parking facilities on the south side to leave the car for 3 days. Thanks

Hi, Aunties, no we have not done it yet. We decided to have a little holiday in Yesilirmak (no bike) and after that it was just too hot. Will have a go in September!
