Re: Catalkoy Esentepe.
Or the catalkoy mayor
I assume people who are eligible to vote choose. Grateful we are not going under girne though as I have enjoyed the personal touch too long which I think is missing now in places like ozankoy and bellapais but at least they have maintained offices and the muhtars are on hand.
I wonder how they will charge for water, the minimum charge in catalkoy is a lot lower than the girne and lapta areas. I have no problem with paying with what I use as one can make adjustments. I have no idea how esentepe charge for their water as most are card meters.

Re: Catalkoy Esentepe.
All pre paid card meters in Esentepe area cost 4.5 lira a ton and a 20 lira monthly charge for the meter which is a joke as we had to purchase it???? But the only good thing is you can fill your pool using the meter. We'll that's what we pay for our villa in Bahcelli

Does mean if you used to pay your water bill at Çatalköy belediye in the village you now have to go to Esentepe?

A bit premature, think a lot of things will need to be ironed out first, so anything else is pure speculation. Can't see how they would expect residents of either to have to travel to the other to pay bills.forestpixie wrote: ↑Sun 28 Aug 2022 11:28 amDoes mean if you used to pay your water bill at Çatalköy belediye in the village you now have to go to Esentepe?

Alagadi customers I pay in esentepe, always take loads of cash as to date no card facility, always grateful when customers say they will go and pay.forestpixie wrote: ↑Sun 28 Aug 2022 11:28 amDoes mean if you used to pay your water bill at Çatalköy belediye in the village you now have to go to Esentepe?

Re: Catalkoy Esentepe.
alphamike, I suspect you are correct and these are just premature discussions which have been leaked to the press in order to ascertain the feelings of the locals i.e. voters. Paying for water will be of secondary importance, to the people involved.

It does say that Esentepe will come under Catalkoy, not the other way round.

Re: Catalkoy Esentepe.
I understood that there would only be one mayor for both and they would keep all the workers so not a lot would change. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
