Don't know about you, but I've found the Death Round Salute a bit eerie. This is the third Monarch I've lived under, and can't remember it happening for George VI, but I guess it must have done.

Were you alive and in the forces when King George VI died? Death of a Monarch is the only time it comes into force. 96 rounds for 96 years.
