Mukhtar offices closed for 2 weeks?

Just been to Karsiyaka Mukhtar office and queued with several others. Needed Muhktars letter for residence application.Waited for 15 minutes after opening time 6pm. Then phoned number on door and was told that Muhktars have been stopped by the government from issuing any paperwork. Has anyone any information on this?

The constitutional court ruled against the mooted local elections in November effectively meaning that all local government functions can not be now carried out because as of June all officials were 'unelected'.

YES having the same problem last night, will just have to wait while they sort themselves out!!

Messes up residency applications no muhtars letter. Will the gov remove fines for late appliers dont think so.
