Opening an electric gate with a UK phone
Can you open an electric gate with a UK phone without a charge? What I mean is does it count as a call ?

Presumably you will have data on your phone, which is needed because these gates are usually operated via WiFi and won't work if you are out of your own home WiFi Network system. That would mean you need to have your phone registered in the TRNC. However If you are at home in the TRNC on your own Home WiFi network system then you won't need to register your phone.

It would be bonkers if the system need more the call to be initiated, as the receiving unit only needs to detect an incoming call and set-off the gate, it doesn't need to answer the call...

There must be a good living to be had on electric gates, they are springing up all over the place. Same with electric up and over garage doors.

Cell phone opening without a camera to see who is there is the old way! Smart phone's using Apps is the way forward.
