Alternatives to expensive cars
Hi all,
First post as we are preplanning a move next year.
I've seen how expensive secondhand cars are in NC. So, I'm looking around at alternatives such as scooters and E bikes. Searches online have not found any stockists. Any ideas where these can be purchased?
Thanks

You don't need anything fancy here.
You better off with a cheap run around. 2K to 3K.
Lots available

E-bikes are on sale in the north. I have seen new e-bikes for sale in Mr Pound Plus and a few doors along from Exotic Kumaş in a small shop selling electrical items.
There are a number of bike shops about. Surely these shops will also sell e-bikes. One such shop is not far from Starling on main road, sea side, Lapta. Another is on main road coming back from Famagusa towards Lefkoşa, left side, close to Cangar Motors, l think.
New scooters, there is a motor bike shop selling these as you come down from Lefkosa / bypass top roundabout down towards old road roundabout, Girne, left side.

I've seen three of these in the last month, 9 of the rules were being broken at the time.

Most of the people that I've seen using them do not appear to have even a passing acquaintance with the Rules of the Road.

Also bear in mind that a car will most likely last longer and depreciate less rapidly than in the uk.

Not true at the moment, second hand cars are sought after and holding their price..

Did your dealer tell you how much they would pay you to buy the car back? Not trade in, straight buy back.

Have a look at this video clip - you might think that it's got nothing to do with this topic, but watch until the end...
