Re: Halifax bank transfer
Do you mean transfer from Halifax to a TRNC bank, or take Halifax money from an ATM in the form of TL or GBP?

Transferred money from the Halifax to Credit West account about 5 years ago. Halifax is part of the Lloyd's banking group. They don't themselves transfer money abroad but send it by Standard Charter. Standard Charter sends it to Yakifbank in Turkey who
sent it to Credit West. Regardless of the amount the Halifax charged £9.50, Standard Charter £35, Yakifbank £10.

Forgot to mention, I would definitely call in at your trnc bank for advice. They gave me essential details on the proceedure. One strange thing it would not work using my tablet but no issue on laptop.

Done this a few times using Halifax to pay site fees etc. No issues although the fees taken by Halifax and the receiving bank are quite high.

Re: Halifax bank transfer
Depends on how much you want to transfer. I found it cheaper to do a couple of transfers (max £4000 per transfer) by Western Union at cost of £4.90 doing it online. Picked it up at Iktisat bank, Karakum, but you can nominate any Iktisat bank.

Once on the Halifax site is it easy to do not worried about the fees. A friend used to do it for me but she sadly died without showing me how to do it.
