NATO to Engage?

Lets see how effective NATO really is after its initial stance of, "One inch of NATO land which is encrouched by Russia will.............................."

A Russian missile barrage on the Ukrainian power grid sent the war spilling over into neighboring countries Tuesday, hitting NATO member Poland and cutting electricity to much of Moldova.
Polish media reported that two people died Tuesday afternoon after a projectile struck an area where grain was drying in Przewodów, a Polish village near the border with Ukraine.′

Looks like it wasn’t a Russian missile that landed in Poland.

The more likely explanation now coming out of the USA and NATO is that it was a Ukrainian missile which was fired to intercept incoming Russian missiles. Ukrainian missile missed and sadly landed in Poland. There is every possibility that the Ukrainian missile was supplied by NATO for there use.

There are simply no targets in the area; either militarily or economically, that are worth a strike.

NATO will not engage. I would suggest that once confirmed, Ukraine will quietly apologise and offer Poland compensation for the damage and loss of life.

Sadly these type of events happen in war.

Brinsley, you have totally jumped the wrong gun. I am watching and listening to senior members of UK and Foreign forces and they are all saying NOT TO SPECULATE. Wait until all the facts have all been gathered in, let the experts ascertain the trajectory and study the remains on the ground etc before panic and rumour mongers start. Please stop.

Italian press:
“This man is dangerous”, “He tried to unleash World War III by calling everyone to a nuclear war with Russia”, “He is more interested in money for war than peace”

Gazeta Wyborcza conducted an investigation and stated that Ukraine deliberately launched a missile attack on Polish territory.
Judging by the pattern of the S-300 missile’s fall, the Russian missile flew at the Dobrotvorskaya CHPP, however, the Ukrainian missile was sent not towards the CHPP (to the northeast), but towards Poland, that is, to the west.

Akvam, what you are saying makes no sense and in my opinion ridiculous. If Ukraine did as you are reporting they would definitely be found out by the west. That would lead to the west removing their support for Ukraine which in turn means a victory for murderous Putin! Ukraine will drive out these monsters but only with on going and increased support from the west!

We clearly have war mongers on this Forum now who do more harm than good. I have looked at the Gazeta and clearly there are Polish journalists together with extremely left wing journalists in Italy who appear to be Russian biased.

American President Joe Biden informed the G7 partners that the situation with the missile that fell in Poland was the result of the work of the Ukrainian air defense, Reuters reports.

Akvam, Biden and others belive that it was a accidental incident by the Ukrainian forces while trying to intercept Russian missiles. As for that investigation by a polish newspaper claiming it was deliberate is just incredible. At the end of the day it is Putin who is responsible!

How to test the opposition's ability to defend, react and indeed to establish how good they can detect an insurgence?
Of course , send in a stray missile and see what happens !!
