Cost of living is soaring here…the same globally..
However how will locals and all who are paid in Turkish Lire cope ?

Double their pay maybe, then of course cost of living with increase yet again. Just as it will in UK if all the strikers get their way. Its a no win situation.,

Lira weakness is mostly down to political decisions/interference.

Once the political climate changes, the lira will soar.

It's the fault of the Turkish central bank, the Lira has plunged 55% since their rate cutting down from 14% to 9% in a matter of months, whilst other major central banks are upping their interest rates. It's as if they want to totally crash the TL. Thursday/ Friday it briefly touched 22.94. Stability will only be achieved without any further interest rate cuts, they say that's it now but we've heard that before

Yes, Erdogan as he believes that it will slow inflation? Going to be massive issues in Turkey and the TRNC will feel it too
