The internet is so slow on my laptop, 0.48mbps resulting in not being able to use the web.
But, doing the same test on my mobile phone I am getting 15mbps.
Any suggestions what I can do. Thanks

Restart your modem. Unplug your router for 20 seconds then switch back on.

When my lap top starts to run slow I use C Cleaner, it gets rid of old files, its noticeably quicker when I do so. You can download it for free, have used it for years.

If it is a daily occurrence why not talk to your ISP?

Is your laptop using wifi or cable connection to the router?

If your laptop is using wifi try connecting direct to the router by cable. See if speed improves.

Is your phone internet connection using mobile data or same wifi as your laptop (if laptop using wifi, not cable)? Mobile data may be a different provider to your home internet.

Your rooftop (if that is where it is) receiver may be out of true, affecting the signal received. Happens sometimes when windy for example.

It sounds like the fault is with the Laptop, run a diagnostic test if its Windows.
Have you tried using it on someone elses network.
