Free flowing water bottle vending.
Seen more of the water machines usually outside supermarkets . Works out about 7/8 TL for the 19 ltr. My question is about the quality /cleanliness and safety of the water. Is it safe to drink ?

Supposedly so, I've seen loads of people using the machine outside Illeli I'm assuming they are buying it to drink.

Yes they are safe to drink, been using the water machines in Tatlisu for years. Now thinking of getting a filtration system fitted, to do away with carrying and having to store the bottles.

It is drinking water so perfectly safe. Personally, after a few months of refilling, I buy a new 19ltr bottle of water just to be on the safe side.
The beauty of those machines is that if a 19ltr bottle is to heavy for you to lift, you can put less in.

You must have to buy a 19ltr, say every three months in order to make sure you have a relatively new bottle. Or do keep checking on the date at the bottom of your bottle,

Can these refilled bottles be used on a water cooler?

If you take the moulded plastic seal off the top of the bottle to make it easier to fill, then you do need to put it back on if you're using the bottle upside down!
They do fit back on OK, and I believe that you can buy replacement seals - they must be available, bc the water companies replace them every time that they refill a bottle...

You can normally buy replacement seals from the shop that supplies the water vending machine
Regarding the bottle tops, does anyone know if you can still get the old style caps with the bit that pops out? I find these new ones very flimsy and usually manage to break the ring pull bit.
