Apparently there is a shortage of 95 octane petrol till Wednesday , can I use 98 octane?

No shortage at the Alpet garage at the end of the By-pass

I always use 98, car runs better and more mpg
It can be used in any petrol engine

There you go - the choice is yours, or whatever you can get your hands on I guess. I had the same question with my Suzuki and Toyota but the answer was very much the same. After lots of searching I only found one site that said if you switch up from 95 to 98 then don't switch back again as it may cause problems - however, the "problems" were never explained nor identified. I happily ran both vehicles on 98 till 95 came back then switched back over again, the only "problem" I have encountered since was what to spend the money I was saving on - lol. Hope this helps.

Still no apparent shortage at our local Alpet garage. Perhaps one of the famous TRNC rumours.

Why has petrol become expensive these days?
I have a Nissan car but it is not giving average. I also spend money on her to fix her average .But she comes back to the same average.

Use the premium E5 98 fuel, if the 95 is E 10 it contains 10% rubbish
