Hi Kedikat,
Not had personally but a friend had heard that they do provide some pain relief, and had a consult with an ortho surgeon last week.
His opinion was that there may be short term benefit, for up to about 6 months, and that the procedure would need repeating.
He was more in favour of surgery as the definitive treatment.
Another friend who is a physio and who also suffers from arthritic knee pain, ( as do I) says that if you need a new knee, get a new knee sooner rather than later. Why go through multiple short term fixes unnecessarily?
Obviously decisions like these are very personal and will depend on individual preferences and circumstances.
Good luck with whatever you decide.
Marjie

If you Google the subject there is plenty of very positive info on the subject. Like most treatments some patients benefit more than others.

I have knee arthritis and would be interested to hear how you get on and the cost of such treatment. I say ….Worth giving it a go rather than invasive surgery.

I had it done at the beginning of last year, it didn't help at all, had hydrocortisone injection in December and it's made a big difference to my knee

Regarding the new knee statement. Anyone had a new knee in Turkey where it appears it's about 3 5 to 4k with hospital stay included. I got quoted here 6 5 k which seems unbalanced in comparison

susiesusie I had a knee replacement last March with PrimeMed and it was half that amount.
I had considered having the op in Turkey or even Southside but decided the travelling and faffing about wouldn't be worth it.

Been watching videos regarding robotic. Seems it's not worth the extra 2k. Many surgeons say it's little to no difference. Of course it seems to make sense with robotic . But 2k??

phild, a year later the jury is still out! If you had asked me a month ago I would have told you that I regret having the new knee even though I was in such a bad way before (old sports injury) but in the last few weeks it has become a lot better for no reason and I have more movement and less pain. It's not perfect but progress at last. After the old I had a total of 13 physio sessions with two different physios.
Both Ramadan and Baris were in on the act as I had a new hip on the same side while I was at it, it was a long op. The hip never have me any concern.
