You need dimethox insecticide, poured into the top and at the roots. Now banned in the EU. You might find the odd bottle in the ROC, but you also might find it in the north.

I've had success using Cypermethrin. I'm lucky that my palms aren't so tall because the best method is to drench the Palm from as high as you can and let the dilution cascade down. This kills the larvae as well as the adults, in a severe infestation it may need doing twice a year but I do mine at the back end.
I've seen them in a male Palm already this year and in my pool.

We’ve been using dimethox on our Washingtonian palm once a month for 9 months. The tree is mature and tall. We don’t want to lose it. But getting up a ladder so we can pour the dimethox into the crown takes some nerve. The palm is starting to look better and we can see new growth. But the weevil is pernicious. Apparently after you think you’ve got rid of it, it can return.
