Beer Batter for fish, prawns or veg

Beer Batter for Fish, Prawn, Veg. etc.

Serves: 4
125g flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
230ml beer
oil for deep frying
4 fish fillets
extra flour for coating
Mix the flour, baking powder, salt in a bowl add beer and beat until a smooth batter is formed.
Heat oil in a heavy bottomed frying pan until very hot
Coat fish first in flour then in batter fry for approx 2 minutes until batter is crispy and brown. Remove fish and drain on kitchen paper before serving
